Dear readers,
There are now close to one thousand of you subscribed to this newsletter (!) That probably includes a few accidental-clicks, and I think my dad has subscribed with about fifteen different email addresses. But still!
I am happy you are here.
But who are you all, and what do you want from this newsletter? I’d like to know more about you, the topics you’d like me to research, and what you expected or hoped for when you subscribed.
Please take 3 minutes to (anonymously) fill out this very short survey. I would be extremely grateful.

This new school year I feel motivated to write more, to send more frequent notes to you all.
I am aching with impatience for a better world. I want to live in a world where wildfires are rare and controlled, where migrants arrive safely at their destinations, where dangerous madmen do not launch wars. A world in which work is dignifying, staying healthy is easy, and we invest the best of ourselves into care and education.
I hope that with this newsletter I can participate in the great challenge of getting to that better future, faster. I have a specific point of view that I want to spread, with your help: if we find the right balance between idealism and pragmatism then we can take action, all of us, to reshape the world around us for the better. We need inspiring moral clarity combined with realistic ideas about how to use technology, finance, and entrepreneurship for good. We need strategies to be a little more activist as citizens, employees, investors and consumers.
But I need your help! Hence the survey, which I hope you fill out.
This newsletter will also have more impact the more people who read and participate. So please do recommend it to friends and colleagues, reply with comments, and generally let me know what you think.
More coming soon. I’m excited to engage in more discussions with you all.
Thank you for reading,
Rob
